Spent the first half of the day getting the latest dbus, HAL, and udev running on my machine and after sending a simple patch to David to fix up warnings and autofoo I moved on to trickier things like getting firewire to work. I made some good progress, but it seems like libsysfs is pretty racy and I’m not getting the right events all of the time unless I had a sleep(3) to the code. That’s not good.
Aside from that, though, it’s working okay. I need to fix up the device parenting and learn what all the sysfs fields for ieee1394 mean, and the races have made that much more slow going, but it shouldn’t be too much more work.
But it hasn’t slowed me down as much as this: I feel like complete shit now. I think I have the flu, but whatever it is has knocked me on my ass in the last three hours or so. Drinking lots of tea and water and parked my ass on the couch to watch some football. Hopefully I’ll feel well enough to go to work tomorrow.
Hey mom, sent my stuff yet? :)
