I’m cool with “off-topic” posts on planet sites as long as the topic is occasionally broached. And I certainly don’t think people should censor their blogs simply because of the way they’re syndicated.
On a related note, the One True Way to hang a roll of toilet paper is in the “overhand” position. Those underhand people make me sick.
