(Testing out ecto here, so lets see if this post is a disaster…)
Saturday we hit Kings bowling alley to throw some rocks. It’s in the old Loews Cheri theater location and I’m not sure about this, but I think it’s the only bowling alley built after 1981 in the United States.
A good time was had by many.
Afterward a couple of us headed back to Nat’s house to play chess before we went and saw the greatest movie of all time (and keeping with the bowling theme): The Big Lebowski at the Fenway theater at midnight.
Thanks for the emails about blogging software… I realize that I never posted what I was looking for in my blog client. I keep all my photos in an iPhoto database on my Mac, so I need something that obviously is a Mac OS X client and can import from my library. I need something where I can either drag-and-drop my photos into a rich-text client or be able to browse my iPhoto library and select the photos I want. I need to be able to customize the size of both the thumbnails and the photos, and I need to be able to customize the HTML they ultimately render in, because I want to have them centered and have a caption, etc., etc. Anyway, I am no expert on the client-side software, but I’ve tried Photon and Ecto. Photon doesn’t work because it’s just an iPhoto plugin. I don’t want to post just photos, I want text. And it’s not customizable enough. Ecto looks like the way to go… it lets me customize all that stuff. So I’ll give it a try and probably register it if I end up happy with it.
At some point soon I want to look into using f-spot for all my photos… right now I am mostly just experimenting with it.
Sigh… HST…
